City Primeval Star Boyd Holbrook Knows He Has Big, Villainous Shoes To Fill

Of course, Boyd Holbrook will have another set of shoes to fill, too. Clement Mansell might be the latest thorn in Raylan’s side, but Boyd Crowder (Walter Goggins) was causing the marshal headaches first. Unfortunately, however, there haven’t been any announcements about Goggins appearing on “Justified: City Primeval,” and while you can never rule out a surprise cameo, Slate reported that filming on the series wrapped shooting last summer — meaning, it’s highly unlikely that the actor will play a significant role, assuming he even shows up at all.

With all due respect to Goggins, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The synopsis for “City Primeval” sounds pretty packed, and with only eight episodes to flesh out all the details, it’ll be important to focus on the new storylines. Plus, “Justified” has a knack for great characters, so while Goggins’ absence might be felt, it’ll be exciting to see the new additions. Still, Boyd Crowder has earned himself quite the reputation; only time will tell if Boyd Holbrook’s character can compare.

“Justified: City Primeval” does not yet have a release date, but is set to stream on Hulu in mid-2023.
