Here’s How You Can Watch Gerard Butler’s Plane At Home

Get ready, friends — “Plane” is boarding soon. Liongate Entertainment recently revealed that the film will be available to rent via Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) as of February 3, 2023. A “Plane” ticket (aka a digital rental) will cost $19.99, though it’s important to keep in mind that PVOD involves paying a premium for early rental access to a movie. There’s no word yet on when “Plane” will switch to standard Video on Demand (VOD) rental prices.

If you’re planning on watching “Plane” a few times, it might be a good idea to upgrade your ticket by buying a copy of the film outright. At the moment, you’ll only be able to own the film by purchasing a digital copy. As of now, there’s no word on a physical release just yet, but it’s bound to hit Blu-ray and DVD sometime soon. Fortunately, at $24.99, a digital copy isn’t much more expensive than a PVOD rental. Flying is expensive enough as is — who doesn’t appreciate a deal? “Plane” will also be available for digital purchase on February 3rd.

Need a refresher on the movie’s official synopsis? You can check it out below:

In the white-knuckle action movie Plane, pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island — only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.
