If you’re a fan of Margot Robbie, a gremlin-looking Tobey Maguire, and Damien Chazelle wildin’ out for over three hours, boy do we have good news for you. Deadline reports the news that residents of the United States and Canada can expect to find “Babylon” make its streaming service debut on Paramount+ February 21, 2023. This comes after a 61-day theatrical release window in which “Babylon” pretty much bombed on arrival, unfortunately. The good news is that the streaming numbers from viewers who never made it out to the movies the first time or want to revisit the debauchery on display all over again should help provide a much-needed boost. For all that, let’s not forget that “Babylon” is also up for three Oscars: Best Original Score, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.
“Babylon” is written and directed by Chazelle (you can read /Film’s review by Jeff Ewing here) and stars an ensemble cast of A-listers led by Robbie, Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Olivia Wilde, Samara Weaving, Lukas Haas, and, yes, Flea. Subscribers to Paramount+ now get another chance to experience all the highs and lows of this tumultuous story set in 1920s Hollywood. For those still on the fence about the very divisive movie, another watch might just help you appreciate all sorts of fascinating new angles that you hadn’t considered before.
